New year, new division, snow in the forcast, it is baseball time! Does BR have enough to replace Kessay, Johnson, Williams, etc, and be champs again?

I doubt it! A private school from the valley of the sun will most likely win it this season.

...but is that because they're a "private school" or because kids in the south have the opportunity to play baseball year-round because of the weather? I'd say the weather being conducive to year-round play probably has more to do with it.

...now, can the parents of a child attending a "private school" afford the expenditures inccurred by club baseball that those from public school can't afford? Most definitely in most cases! So perhaps both reasons are correct?

Right on, spanky, they get great weather, play year round club ball(which money-buckets daddies can afford), gives them the edge.

Seeing as they knocked out the private valley school on Saturday, looks like they have a chance of repeating. River Valley is good, and they won't be easy to beat, but with the Jackets playing great ball right now and playing how they always do... as a team, they have a great chance of winning and a chance at that championship trophy again. Seems like a great bunch of boys and a great coaching staff.....maybe Blue Ridge is becoming more then just a Football School and the baseball program will start to get some more respect. Never count them out! Good luck Blue Ridge, we are pulling for you this weekend! You make the Mountain and the fans in the Valley proud.
